Kurla-Bandra East stretch under BKC Automated Rapid Transit System to complete by December 2027

The 3.36 km Kurla-Bandra East stretch under the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) Automated Rapid Transit System Project is likely to be completed by December 2027.

Besides, the Rail Land Development Authority has given in-principle approval to transfer a 4,000 square metre portion of a prime plot in Bandra to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.

The project involves development of pod taxi spanning 8.8 km with 22 stations and will connect 38 strategic locations including BKC, Kurla station and Bandra station. It is likely to be implemented on public-private partnership mode and likely to entail investment of Rs 10.16 billion.
