Central Railway (CR) has achieved freight loading of 6.72 million tonnes (mt) during April 2026, an increase of over two per cent as compared to same month last year. This includes 3.97 mt by Nagpur division, 1.59 mt by Mumbai division, 0.59 mt by Solapur division, 0.43 mt by Bhusaval division, and 0.14 mt by Pune division. Additionally, it operationalised 2,582 freight rakes in April 2026.
Besides, the zone generated freight revenue of Rs 7.08 billion in the same month, which is more than four per cent higher over corresponding month of the previous year. Division-wise, CR generated freight revenue of Rs 4.32 billion from Nagpur division, Rs 1.5 billion from Mumbai division, Rs 557.1 million from Bhusaval division, Rs 412.7 million from Solapur division, and Rs 286 million from Pune division.
