Hotayi Electronics to invest Rs 7 billion in Gujarat semiconductor facility

Malaysia’s Hotayi Electronics will invest Rs 7 billion at Sanand in Ahmedabad, over the next 10 years, with Gujarat deputy chief minister handing over the offer-cum-allotment letter to the firm on May 07, 2026. The investment is expected to strengthen Gujarat’s semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem, the state government said in a statement.

Five hectares of land have been allotted to the company at Sanand-II Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation for the proposed facility.

Further, the plant will manufacture advanced dynamic random-access memory modules, solid-state drives, server and data centre memory modules, as well as automotive electronics including light-emitting diode lighting and infotainment modules.
