Kernex Microsystems (India) Limited won a contract worth Rs 24.66 billion for supply, installation, testing and commissioning of on-board KAVACH loco equipment as per Research Design and Standards Organisation (RDSO) specification no. RDSO/SPN/196/2020, ver 4.0 or latest from Chittaranjan Locomotive Works on January 15, 2026.
The work is expected to be completed in 12 months.
The project involves supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 3,024 sets onboard KAVACH loco equipment.
