The Union Government inaugurated the Sector 10A to Mahatma Mandir stretch under the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Phase II Project on January 11, 2025.
Besides, the stations, Koteshwar Road, Vishwakarma College, Tapovan Circle, Narmada Canal, Koba Circle and Sector 10A are operational since April 2025.
Phase II involves development of metro rail connecting Gandhinagar to Motera in Gujarat. It is being implemented in two corridors. Corridor 1 would connect Narendra Modi stadium (Motera) to Mahatma Mandir and Corridor 2 would connect Gujarat National Law University to Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT) City. The project entails an investment of Rs 53.84 billion.
