Indian Railways (IR) is likely to commence the pilot run of the hydrogen train soon on the Jind-Sonipat route in Haryana as the project nears completion. With this, an uninterrupted power supply of 11 kilovolt (kV) has been secured for the hydrogen plant at Jind which will ensure continuous refuelling of hydrogen in the trainset.
Further, the commissioning of this plant, having overall storage capacity of 3,000 kg is also nearing completion.
