NHPC Limited has commissioned Unit II, with a capacity of 250 MW, of the 2,000 MW Subansiri lower hydroelectric project located on the Assam–Arunachal Pradesh border.
The declaration follows the successful completion of the trial run. The Subansiri lower project comprises eight units of 250 MW each. NHPC stated that the commercial operation date of the remaining units will be intimated in due course.
