The government of Bihar (GoB) inaugurated the Bhootnath – Malahi Pakri stretch under the Patna Metro Rail Project Phase I on July 2, 2026.
Phase I of the project involves the development of a 32.5 km long metro rail network in Patna state of Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 139.25 billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. Corridor 1 (Danapur Cantt-Mithapur) and Corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
