Vikram Solar has commissioned a 5 GW advanced solar module manufacturing facility at Vallam, Tamil Nadu.
The plant features next-generation automation, including intelligent robotics, advanced material-handling systems, integrated quality checks, and fully automated packaging. The 27,000 square meter facility is based on tunnel oxide passivated technology with seamless upgrade potential and is compatible with M10, G12, and G12R formats. It is designed to deliver enhanced product reliability, lower failure rates, improved energy yields, and shorter lead times. The commissioning follows Vikram Solar’s broader strategy to anchor high-end solar manufacturing in Tamil Nadu, complementing its existing Oragadam facility and upcoming Gangaikondan plant.
