Funds worth Rs 11.33 billion used under Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase II

Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) has utilised funds worth Rs 11.33 billion under the Nagpur Metro Rail Project Phase II.

Besides, Maha Metro has acquired about 4.82 hectares (ha) of land out of the total requirement of 9.04 ha. Of this, 3.04 ha is government land and the remaining 1.78 ha is private land. The project is likely to be completed by 2027.

The project involves expansion of the metro network in Nagpur, Maharashtra as Phase II by 43.8 km to provide connectivity to nearby towns and villages at an estimated cost of Rs 67.08 billion.
