About 646 ha of land acquired for Dungarpur-Banswara-Ratlam Railway Project in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh

About 646 Hectares (ha) out of 1,736 ha of land has been acquired for Dungarpur-Banswara-Ratlam Railway Project. Moreover, the land will be provided free of cost by the Government of Rajasthan.

Besides, an overall expenditure of Rs 2.43 has been spent for the project till March 2026.

The project involves construction of 189-km new broad gauge (BG) railway line from Dungarpur to Ratlam via Banswara, thus connecting the state of Rajasthan with Madhya Pradesh at an estimated cost of Rs 20.83 billion. It will be funded through cost sharing of 50:50 by Rajasthan Government and Ministry of Railway (MoR).
