Bid due date for TOT Bundle III extended to September 30, 2019

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has extended the due date for the submission of bids for Bundle III of the toll-operate-transfer (TOT) model from September 11, 2019 to September 30, 2019. Bids for the bundle were invited in June 2019. The authority has set a reserve price of Rs 49.95 billion for TOT Bundle III, comprising nine highway projects, spanning 566 km, in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Bihar. Four projects under the bundle are based on the hybrid annuity model (HAM), while the remaining five were implemented in the EPC mode. Reportedly, major infrastructure players including Cube Highways and Infrastructure Pte Limited, the Macquarie Group, IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited and the L&T Group, among others, asked for an extension of the bid due date. Besides, bids on TOT Bundle IV, spanning about 404 km of highways, are likely to be invited by end September 2019.
