Patel Engineering Limited (PEL) has won a contract worth Rs 13 billion for the construction of Kondhane Dam at Karjat Taluka in Raigad district, Maharashtra. Bids for the same were invited by the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (CIDCO) in August 2024.
The scope of work includes the construction of a 1.2 km long roller compacted concrete dam at Ulhas river at village Kondhane, having a catchment area of 53.25 sq km for supplying drinking water to the NAINA area of CIDCO.
The work is likely to be completed in 42 months.
