The Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited will install 35 temporary drainage pumping stations in Bihar. The initiative aims to target areas lacking proper sewage networks and connections owing to the infrastructural works that are underway.
The locations of the pumping stations will include Pahadi, Ram Krishna Nagar, Karbigahiya, Boring Road, Anta Ghat, Saidpur, Pirmuhani, Rajpur Pul, SP Verma Road, Gosai Tola, Kurji, Rajbanshi Nagar, Shastri Nagar, and Eco Park among other areas. At present, Patna’s drainage system comprises of 364 pumps at multiple locations. Their total discharge capacity is 170,758 million litres per day.
