The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has approved 140 m of width for the Amaravati outer ring road (ORR). Previously, the alignment approval committee (AAC) had reduced the width to 70 m.
The project involves construction of 189 km long six lane access controlled ORR expressway with service roads on both sides extending the width to 140 m and linking the new capital city with other parts. Furthermore, it is a part of Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA)’s 2050 Master Plan.
