Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS) inaugurated the AISATS BLR Logistics Park at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
The park, located at the airport, entailed an investment of Rs 2 billion and is spread over an area of eight acres. It comprises of three buildings including a two-level main warehouse with more than 240,000 square feet of Grade A space, an 11,000 square feet public bonded warehouse, and an office block spanning 24,000 square feet.
The park features world-class facilities and cutting-edge technologies. Further, seamless cargo movement between the park and the cargo terminals at the airport would be facilitated through the trucking services that would be provided by AISATS.
The Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) earlier appointed AISATS for the design, build, finance, operation, and maintenance of the park for 15 years.
The facility is expected to facilitate efficient and enhanced cargo movement and handling capabilities, enhance economic prosperity in the region and position it as a hub for logistics innovation and trade.
