Amravati Airport receives aerodrome licence 

The Amravati Airport in Maharashtra has received the aerodrome licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The airport has been officially designated as a licenced Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) airport.

Flight operations are expected to commence from March 31, 2025, with the RCS flight by Alliance Air that would connect the airport to Mumbai.

The airport features a runway with a length of 1,850 metres and a width of 45 metres, a new terminal building with a capacity to handle 100 arriving and 100 departing passengers at a time, and a state-of-the-art air traffic control tower, among others.
