About 90 per cent of the construction work has been completed on the Bharalumukh Six-Lane Bridge Project in Assam. The project is likely to be completed by the end of June 2025. The cost of the project has been revised from Rs 26 billion to Rs 30.3 billion. It involves the construction of a bridge from North Guwahati to South Guwahati. The New Development Bank will serve as the funding agency for the project. It is being executed through an SPV under the Guwahati Development Department on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis.
