GAIL (India) Limited is likely to commission the Kochi-Kanjirakode-Bangalore/Mangalore gas pipeline project by July 2019. The project, being implemented by GAIL, involves the construction of a 1,156 km long pipeline with a capacity of 16 million metric standard cubic metres per day (mmscmd) including 4 mmscmd as common carrier and a pipeline design pressure of 92 kg per square cm passing through Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
