State Cabinet approves implementation of Bhopal-Vidisha Four Lane Highway Project in Madhya Pradesh

The State Cabinet of Madhya Pradesh has approved implementation of Bhopal-Vidisha Four Lane Highway Project (SH-18). The Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation (MPRDC) will cover 40 per cent of the construction cost through the State Highway Fund and state budget will cover the remaining 60 per cent through half yearly payments spread across the 15 year operation period, while an additional fund worth Rs 3,654.1 million has been allocated for land acquisition and other pre-construction activities.

The project involves upgradation of existing two lane highway to a four lane highway of 44.83 km length from Bhopal (Bhanpur side)-Vidisha (SH-18) at an estimated cost of Rs 1,7575.5 million on hybrid annuity mode in Madhya Pradesh.
