The Government of India (GoI) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) have signed a loan agreement of $500 million (approximately Rs 42.5 billion), which will be provided to India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) for the development of green and sustainable infrastructure projects. The loan from ADB will support IIFCL by providing long-term capital to finance such projects. The funding will focus on energy transition and connectivity, urban projects, education and health care.
