RITES Limited has finalised the route alignment for the Bhagalpur metro rail project. Besides, work on detailed project report, comprehensive mobility plan and alternative analysis report has been commenced.
The project is planned to be developed in two phases. Phase I i.e. east-west corridor spans 17 km from Saidpur to Bhagalpur Railway station with total 12 stations including stations at Sabour, Bhagalpur College of Engineering, Zero Mile, Tilka Manjhi and Bikhanpur along with a depot at Saidpur. Phase II i.e. north-south corridor spans 7 km from Bhagalpur Railway station to Vastu Vihar Colony (Pista Mod) including stations at Mojahipur, Maheshpur and Bhairopur along with a depot at Vastu Vihar.
