Ambuja Cement has entered into an agreement to acquire a 46.8 per cent stake in Orient Cement for Rs 81 billion. The move aligns with the company’s aim to increase the cement capacity. The acquisition will help Ambuja Cements to reach 100 MTPA cement capacity in 2024-25. The acquisition will increase market presence in South and West India by 8.5 MTPA.
