The foundation stones for the upgradation of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, and the new integrated terminal building at the Shirdi Airport, Maharashtra were laid on October 9, 2024.
The upgradation of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur, has an estimated project cost of approximately Rs 70 billion. The move would benefit the city and the wider Vidarbha region by serving as a catalyst for growth in various sectors including aviation, manufacturing, tourism, etc.
The new integrated terminal building at Shirdi Airport is worth more than Rs 6.45 billion and would feature world-class facilities and amenities. Further, a separate cargo complex is also being built at the airport.
