IGGL submits proposal for tie-in connectivity from Tulamura Gas Field to North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid project

Indradhanush Gas Grid Limited (IGGL) has submitted a proposal to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) for laying 12 inches outside diameter, 86 km pipeline tie-in connectivity from Oil India Limited’s (OIL) Tulamura Gas Field in Tripura Asset to the North-East Natural Gas Pipeline Grid project.

Besides, the PNGRB has initiated the public consultation process for the same.

The North-East natural gas pipeline grid involves the development, operation and maintenance of a 1,656 km natural gas pipeline connecting eight states viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. It is being implemented by IGGL, a joint venture company of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), GAIL (India) Limited, Oil India Limited (OIL) and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). It entails an investment of Rs 92.65 billion.
