National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited has commenced track works on the Surat-Bilimora section under the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor project. Currently, around 70 km of railway track slabs have been completed.
The project involves the development of the 508.17 km long Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail (HSR) corridor in Maharashtra and Gujarat with an investment of Rs 1,080 billion.
