FMDA sanctions various water supply and sewerage projects in Faridabad

The Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority (FMDA) sanctioned various water supply and sewerage projects worth Rs 26 billion in Faridabad, Haryana on July 10, 2024.

These include the construction of 22 Ranney wells, 70 tube wells using reverse rotary technology, eight boosting stations, subsidiary boosting stations to extend water supply to other areas and laying approximately 500 km of pipeline to increase overall Faridabad’s water supply capacity to 450 million litres per day by 2028-29.

It also includes rehabilitation or replacement of main sewers, stormwater drain intersections and repairing of damaged pipes at an estimated cost of Rs 12.89 billion.
