The Network Planning Group of ‘PM GatiShakti National Master Plan’ evaluated the Balaram-Tentuloi section of the Angul-Tentuloi new broad gauge rail line project (coal connectivity) and Budhapank-Luburi new railway line project (MCRL Outer Corridor) on July 10, 2024.
Angul-Tentuloi new broad gauge rail line project (coal connectivity) involves laying a 69.1 km long new broad gauge (BG) railway line between Angul to Tentuloi via Balaram, Putagadia, and Jarapada in Odisha at an investment of Rs 17 billion.
Budhapank-Luburi new railway line project (MCRL Outer Corridor) involves laying a 106 km long new rail line between Budhapank and Luburi in Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 34.78 billion.
