Afcons Infrastructure Limited and Sam India Builtwell Private Limited consortium achieved the second tunnel breakthrough under package AGCC-02 of the Taj Mahal-RBS stretch for the Agra Metro Rail Project Phase-I.
Package AGCC-02 involves design and construction of tunnel from start of underground ramp (near Fatehabad Road Metro station) to end of ramp after RBS metro station including seven underground metro stations (Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Jama Masjid, S.N. Medical College, Agra Fort, Raja ki Mandi and RBS College) including architectural finishes, electrical and mechanical (E&M), tunnel ventilation system (TVS), environmental control system (ECS) etc. on Corridor-1.
The Agra metro project involves development of 30 km long metro rail system in Agra at an investment of Rs 83.79 billion.
