The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved implementation of the Lucknow Metro Rail Project (East-West Corridor). The project involves extension of the metro rail network in Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh. The corridor will span a length of 11.16 km connecting Charbagh to Vasant Kunj with an investment of Rs 58.8 billion. It will consist of a total of 12 stations and is likely to be completed in five years.
