Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) is working on a master plan for the Noida (Jewar) airport expansion. The master plan will integrate six planned runways, an MRO hub, aviation hub and other facilities. Phase I involves 1,334 ha of land. About 1,365 hectares (ha) of land has been acquired for phase II, of which, 500 ha will be used for the development of a runway and MRO, whereas 800 ha will be for the aviation hub. Also, acquisition of 2,085 ha of land for phase III has commenced. Besides, the government of Uttar Pradesh is deliberating upon the mode of implementation for the next phases. The project involves development of a greenfield airport in Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh with an investment of Rs 295.6 billion. It is being implemented in four phases: Phase I at a cost of Rs 45.88 billion (12 mppa), Phase II at a cost of Rs 59.83 billion (18 mppa), Phase III at a cost of Rs 84.15 billion (20 mppa) and Phase IV at a cost of Rs 105.75 billion (20 mppa).
