Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL) has awarded a 400 MW solar project to ENGIE as a part of its 750 MW, Phase XVI, auction process. ENGIE has signed a power purchase agreement with GUVNL for a period of 25 years. With an estimated cost of approximately $200 million, the project is anticipated to produce 907 GWh of electricity per year, preventing 774,112 tonnes of carbon emissions annually. The project has already reached the final investment decision stage and is currently under construction. The project is expected to begin operations in second quarter of 2024.
