RJIL, RCOM extend validity of asset sale pact to June 28, 2019

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has extended the validity of its asset sale pact with Reliance Communications (RCOM) by six months from December 28, 2018 to June 28, 2019. The transactions are to be consummated subject to various regulatory approvals that are presently in progress, RCOM stated in a regulatory filing. The spectrum deal has been delayed as the Department of Telecommunications had rejected it due to non-payment of spectrum dues worth Rs 29.47 billion.
