Indian ports handled 116.26 mt of traffic during April-May 2018

During the first two months (April-May) of the current fiscal year 2018-19, Indian major ports handled 116.26 mt of traffic, as compared to 113.52 mt in the corresponding period of 2017-18, registering an increase of 2.41 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 19.66 mt, followed by Paradip port (17.43 mt) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) (11.7 mt).
