The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has accepted an offer from National Highways Infra Trust (NHIT) worth Rs 62.20 billion to monetise two key highway assets totaling 310.35 km across Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
These assets include the 255.97 km Amravati–Chikhali–Tarsod section of NH-53 in Maharashtra and the 54.38 km Gundugolanu-Chinna-Avutapalli section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh.
This deal supports NHAI’s strategy to unlock value from operational highways via models like InvIT, with total assets monetised this financial year reaching around Rs 280.77 billion and cumulative through NHIT at Rs 498.58 billion.
