Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Port of Marseille Fos to strengthen trade connectivity between India and Europe through the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC). The agreement aims to improve coordination among key ports and create a more streamlined framework for trade flows between India and the European Union.
Under the partnership, Marseille Fos will serve as the western European gateway for the corridor, adding about 70 million tonnes of capacity and extending IMEC deeper into Europe. The collaboration will promote a 6,000 km multimodal network combining maritime routes, rail links, digital systems, and clean-energy corridors, including a planned Mundra-Marseille green maritime corridor.
