Gurugram Metro Rail Limited casts first pile under Millennium City Centre-Cyber City Metro Rail Project

Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL) has casted the first concrete pile in Sector 45, marking a major project milestone under the Millennium City Centre-Cyber City Metro Rail Project (erstwhile HUDA City Centre – Cyber City Metro Rail Project).

The initial work from Millennium City Centre to Sector 9 will involve casting about 3,000 piles and constructing around 750 pillars to support the elevated viaduct and stations. Pile casting consists of drilling deep boreholes, inserting reinforcement cages, and pouring concrete to create strong foundations for elevated viaducts and station structures.

The project involves development of 30.5 km long metro route in Gurugram city of Haryana. It will be implemented by GMRL and will connect Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and merge with Rapid Metro Rail, Gurugram at Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City. It will also have a spur at Dwarka Expressway and Gurugram Railway station.
