NHAI’s Indora-Dighori flyover progresses at rapid pace

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is constructing the Indora-Dighori flyover near Nagpur on National Highway‑7, which is set to become India’s longest state‑of‑the‑art flyover once completed. The project has already recorded more than 73 per cent physical progress and is scheduled for commissioning by June 2026.

The entire project is 8.9 km long, which includes 13.82 km of service and slip roads and a flyover which is 6.37 km long. The flyover’s carriageway is 12 metres wide and it is intended to be a two-lane, two-way structure.

The project incorporates use of cutting-edge UHPFRC technology, which allows for greater durability, longer spans, and lesser maintenance. It is the only flyover in India built entirely using UHPFRC girders, supporting the roughly 3 km flyover section between Bhande Plot Chowk and Dighori.

This Rs 9.98 billion elevated corridor is being developed to ease traffic congestion, improve safety, and enhance travel efficiency.
