Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited (APSEZ) reported strong cargo handling in December 2025, with total throughput reaching 41.9 million metric tonnes (mmt), a 9 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase. This growth was driven largely by the container segment, which surged 18 per cent, highlighting robust momentum in India’s containerised trade.
For the April-December 2025 period, APSEZ handled 367.3 mmt, marking an 11 per cent rise compared with the same period the previous year. Container volumes remained the key driver, growing 21 per cent over the year-ago period.
In logistics, rail-linked container movements stayed flat in December at around 59,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), while General Purpose Wagon Investment Scheme (GPWIS) cargo declined by 7 per cent YoY.
