The Union Government has approved Line 4 (Khadakwasla-Kharadi Metro) and Line 4A (Nal Stop – Manik Baug Metro) under the Pune Metro Rail Phase II Project on November 26, 2025.
Spanning 31.64 km with 28 elevated stations, the project entails an investment of Rs 98.58 billion. They are likely to be implemented by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha-Metro) and will be jointly funded by the Government of India, Government of Maharashtra, and external bilateral/ multilateral funding agencies.
Besides, pre-construction activities such as topographical surveys and detailed design consultancy are underway.
