Brookfield sells stakes worth Rs 8.83 billion in BRIET

Brookfield divested a 5.13 per cent stake in Brookfield India Real Estate Trust (BRIET) for Rs 8.83 billion through an open market transaction. The stake divested by the sponsor comprised 31.2 million units in the price range of Rs 283-283.04. Post the disinvestment, Brookfield’s unit holding has declined to around 26 per cent. However, it continues to remain the largest unitholder in the trust.
