Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW) has manufactured cumulative 572 locomotives during the financial year (FY) 2025-26, representing an increase of 20 per cent over the previous year. This includes 558 electric locomotives, comprising of 401 WAG-9H locomotives, 143 WAP-7 locomotives and 14 WAP-7 Amrit Bharat locomotives.
With this, the facility has exceeded its target of 553 electric locomotives for FY 2025-26. Besides, the facility has produced a total of 11,259 locomotives since its inception.
