NHAI compiles preliminary list of 24 road assets to be monetised in 2025-26

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has compiled a preliminary list of 24 road assets to be monetised in 2025-26. It constitutes a total length of 1,472 km of road assets, with an annual revenue of Rs 18.63 billion in 2023-24. Further, the authority has sought feedback from stakeholders to finalise the complete list. Additionally, NHAI is likely to monetise these assets through toll-operate-transfer (TOT) mode, if not revised at a later stage.

Out of 24 road assets, five road projects are in Maharashtra, four in Jharkhand, three in Uttar Pradesh, two each in West Bengal, Bihar, and Telangana, and one each in Chattisgarh, Haryana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, and Odisha. The 2025–26 target is lower in comparison to 2024–25, when NHAI identified 33 highway segments totalling 2,741 km for monetisation. In 2024-25, MoRTH aims to raise Rs 390 billion through various asset monetisation strategies.
