A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with Fly Bharati for the development of the airport at Ujjain entailing an investment of Rs 7.5 billion.
Other notable MoUs were also signed for civil aviation in Madhya Pradesh. Air India Express committed to commence international operations from Indore to Abu Dhabi and Bangkok and domestic operations connecting Patna, Kochi, and Varanasi with Indore. Further, Company Pradhan Air pledged an investment amounting to Rs 1.5 billion for intrastate air services in Ujjain. Additionally, Inn Avia Aviation Consultant GmbH signed an MoU for a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Bhopal with a first-phase investment of Rs 5 billion.
