The Union Government inaugurated the Bhuj-Naliya-Vayor gauge conversion project.
The project involved the gauge conversion of a 101.24 km rail line between Bhuj and Naliya along with the construction of a 24.65-km new broad gauge rail line between Naliya to Vayor in Gujarat. It involved the construction of 28 major bridges, 294 minor bridges, two road over bridges along with other ancillary works.
