The Centre has approved two highway upgradation projects with a combined investment of Rs 11.55 billion to boost connectivity and drive economic growth in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The initiative includes a Rs 2.52 billion road project to upgrade a six-lane elevated corridor at Ranasthalam in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, aimed at easing urban congestion and enhancing road safety.
In Madhya Pradesh, Rs 9.03 billion investment will support the development of the Gyaraspur to Rahatgarh section on national highway (NH)-146, a vital segment of the Bhopal-Kanpur corridor.
