Southern Railway has commenced the construction work for 854.5 m long Aroor-Kumbalam railway bridge in connection with the Kumbalam-Thuravoor rail line doubling project. It is expected to be completed in two years.
The project involves patch doubling of the 15.59 km long railway line connecting Kumbalam and Thuravoor at an estimated cost of Rs 8.12 billion in Kerala.
