Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata has announced the launch of a new container vessel service, Bengal Middle East Express which will connect the Haldia Dock Complex (HDC) with the Jebel Ali Port, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The inaugural vessel, Yong Yue 11, is set to arrive at HDC on September 6, 2024.
Initiated by Ocean Salute Line of Singapore in partnership with MBK Logistix Private Limited, this service will enhance global connectivity for the port. The vessel will follow a Haldia-Chittagong-Jebel Ali-Haldia route, linking Bengal and Eastern-Indian industrial hub with UAE.
