East Coast Railway (ECoR) has completed 9.1 km out of the total 12.7 km tunnel work in connection with the Khurda road-Bolangir new line project. It is expected to be completed by end-2025.
The project involves construction of 289 km long broad gauge railway line from Khurda road to Bolangir under Khurda division of ECoR, aiming at connecting western Odisha with eastern Odisha at an estimated cost of Rs 37.91 billion.
