The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS) has granted approval for commercial operations on 5.2 km priority corridor (Jama Masjid-Taj East Gate) of the Agra Metro Rail Project-Phase I. The operation on this stretch is likely to commence soon. The project involves development of 30 km long metro rail system in the city at an investment of Rs 83.79 billion.
